McFadyen Sponsors Launches a New & Improved ATG Users Group Web Site Showcasing the Features of ATG 6
www.AtgUsersGroup.org, the Central Forum for the ATG Community for the Past 3 Years, is Equipped with New Features & Functionality

McFadyen Consulting, founder & manager of the ATG Users Group, today announced a beta version launch of www.AtgUsersGroup.org on the newly released ATG6. McFadyen Consulting, founder and sponsor of the ATG Users Group (ATG-UG), formerly known as the Dynamo Users Group (DUG), has completed the migration of the site from a Dynamo 5.1 non-portal site to an ATG 6 portal site featuring ATG Publishing. The final production site will formally launch in mid-January to celebrate ATG's annual summit, the ATG 2003 Open, January 27-29th Doral Resort, Miami, FL.

Over 3,000 people have become registered members of www.AtgUsersGroup.org over the past 3 years. Along with the migration and additions of new functionality, Users Group members enjoy benefits which include:

  • Forums - a six-category message board containing over 14,000 posts.
  • Resources - a rich technical resource library comprised of periodicals, books, videos, white papers, and web links that contain technical information relevant to those working with ATG.
  • Case Studies - more than 60 case studies are posted to date with new additions frequently. Case studies enable users to see how others are creatively applying ATG-based solutions to their business needs.

ATG 6 is the latest product offering from ATG (NASDAQ: ARTG). ATG 6 will offer major enhancements to ATG Commerce, ATG Portal, and the ATG Relationship Management Platform, as well as new ATG Integrations and three new product modules. The first new product module, ATG Publishing, includes browser-based tools for adding and editing web assets and has a powerful workflow editor that provides a comprehensive solution for managing these assets. ATG Analytics provides insights into sales trends and user behavior patterns. ATG Search is designed to deliver rapid access to online product and self-service information.

With the comprehensive features that ATG 6 provides, the migration of www.AtgUsersGroup.org brought extensive enhancements to the new web site. By utilizing ATG scenario-based personalization features, the web site allows users to customize the portal to suit their own preferences. For example, users will be able to remove or add Portlets from a web page, change the layout of a web page, choose their preferred color schemes, etc. Other new features include online polls on topics regarding ATG products and ATG user concerns and a survey for ATG-related events. There are also major enhancements to current features such as a more powerful search function and a more detailed real time ATG (NASDAQ: ARTG) stock ticker. In addition to employing the latest ATG technology, the new web site also provides a fresh user experience with major changes in the graphical design.
